“The 2016 Campanaio is a luscious and delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in equal parts. The folks at Podere Monastero have hit that perfect ripeness, that proverbial sweet spot, with extravagant aromas of dried blackberry, cherry liqueur, mocha and spicy cedar smoke.

The Italians would call a wine like this ‘piacione’ because it is likable on a large scale (and knows it).”
